This domain is based on speech from Eliezer Bivas and Israel "Izzet" Bana, both speakers from Istanbul. Izzet is also the director of the Sephardic youth choir "Las Estreyikas" (the little stars). It was edited by Rachel Bortnick (Izmir), Karen Gerşon Şarhon (Istanbul), and Carlos Yebra Lopez.
Sink: lavabo and pila are both ways to say this.
lavabo is a way some speakers in Istanbul refer to sinks of any kind.
pila is the word used in Izmir for the sink in the kitchen, while lavabo is only a bathroom sink.
Faucet
fuente and huente are pronunciations that vary among speakers for 'faucet' or 'tap.'
Soap up
enshavonar and shavonar are both ways to say 'to soap up,' the action of rubbing your hands with soap.
